Nanotechnology
The impact of nanotechnologies as a multidisciplinary area combining physics, chemistry and biology will have an effect on products in all business areas and in people’s everyday lives.
The materials of the future are based more and more especially on nanotechnology solutions.
The nanotechnology cluster is formed by the internationally strong nano- and microtechnology areas and the research and technology areas in Finland of future materials based on them.
The cluster aims to make Finland one of the EU’s most important centres of applied research and business related to nanotechnology.
The content areas for which Tampere is responsible in the cluster are:
• Photonics laser technology
• Future composite materials
